You can learn a lot from the nothing you find at the tops of stairs that don't
go anywhere. What you can learn from this one is that it only takes one step to
go nowhere.
Some people drive nowhere in their pick-up trucks but Poison Pie
and I just walked there.
Another thing you can learn from the nothing at the top of these particular stairs
is that nothing is sometimes wet. Wet, even when it is the wetness of nothing, can still
soak through your shoes. It will still make you walk with squishy sounds--squish
squish--as you descend the steps from the ocean of nothingness back down to Earth,
where, if you are as fortunate as I am, you will find someone like Poison Pie, waiting
for you to continue exploring the rest of the day.
