On the Fire Dwarf

In Faerie, some claim that Summer rescued her Dwarf from Hell itself, where it served as a thrall, fashioning cruel weapons and barbed adornments for the pleasure of greater devils. The veracity of this tale is impossible to establish since neither Summer nor the fire dwarf will speak of its situation prior to its arrival in Faerie, a condition, which is, in truth, not that unusual for the residents here. Part of the uncertainty lies in the fact that the traits most obviously associated with a difficult past are ones that most of us prefer to keep to ourselves, as revealing such secrets brings both teller and listener neither relief nor joy. It is however, indisputable, that some entity from beyond Faerie sent an efreet, an elemental being of flame, after the fire dwarf, ostensibly to retrieve him and return him to whatever cage from which he had escaped. The outcome of this pursuit is one that currently remains unresolved.
