	6 title: Red Sonja (2016) publisher: Dynamite cover artist: Marguerite Sauvage writer: Marguerite Bennett artist: Aneke issue: #5 of 6 cover: A cover release date: May, 2006 commentary: The six-issue run of Red Sonja (2016) was accompanied by companion six-issues series of two other Dynamite heroines, Vampirella and Dejah Thoris. There were several connecting covers for the first issues, referenced above. It appears that these series were an attempt by Dynamite to broaden the readership of each series, for in all three cases, the attire of the heroine is significantly expanded. For example, Red Sonja has traded her scalemail bikini for a chainmail shirt and leather skirt with somewhat greater coverage. Analogous changes in costume were adopted for Vampirella and Dejah Thoris.
