	This is the thirty-third installment in our Red Sonja themed cover galleries, continuing from the first gallery. Below, we present ten selected covers from various comic books, featuring Red Sonja as envisioned by artist Walter Geovani.

He also penciled several issues (51-54 and 61-66) of the 2005 Red Sonja series,as well as other one-shots and series including Blue, Red Sonja & Tarzan, Wrath of the Gods and Prophecy. 	2 title: Red Sonja: She-Devil with a Sword (2005) publisher: Dynamite cover artist: Walter Geovani writer: Eric Trautmann artist: Walter Geovani issue: #53 of 80 release date: November, 2010 cover: B variant commentary: Like Mel Rubi, Geovani's depiction of Red Sonja is without pretense or gimmick. She is presented as a woman and as a warrior. When a particular aspect of her character is exaggerated, it is done in a manner that is within the context of her role. For example, in this cover to issue #53 of the 2005 series, Red Sonja is presented as a larger than life figure with armies of common mortals battling at her feet.

Red Sonja had a thirst for ale. Venturing into taverns often brought her into contact with men whose inhibitions had been loosened by alcohol. Frequently, she was forced to take recourse in violence in order to dissuade them of their interest. Here Geovani portrays her in a rather contemplative mood after such an episode.

Here she has entered a smithy and is selecting a weapon best suited to her combination of speed and ferocity.

Perhaps its proper name is a military fork or a two-pronged trident (bident?) or even a demi lune, so named because it incorporates the shape of the crescent moon.



	6 title: Red Sonja: Blue (2011) publisher: Dynamite cover artist: Walter Geovani writer: Peter Brett artist: Walter Geovani issue: one-shot release date: June, 2011 cover: B variant commentary: In this cover to the one-shot, Blue, Red Sonja emerges from a dungeon carrying a bag of loot. The narrative in this one-shot leads into the 4-issue Unchained story arc.



	7 title: Red Sonja Unchained (2013) publisher: Dynamite cover artist: Walter Geovani writer: Peter Brett artist: Jack Jadson issue: #4 of 4 cover: A cover release date: August, 2013 commentary: In Unchained, Red Sonja battles possession by a demon, who has cursed the blue pelt, which Red Sonja skinned from its corpse, after she slew it. Geovani drew covers to all four issues in this series.



	8 title: Red Sonja: Vulture's Circle (2015) publisher: Dynamite cover artist: Walter Geovani writers: Nancy A. Collins & Luke Lieberman artist: Fritz Casas issue: #1 of 5 release date: January, 2015 cover: B variant commentary: Geovani drew covers to all five issues in the Vulture's Circle story arc. In this first issue, he portrays Red Sonja in a statuesque pose, a dark figure surveying the carnage of the battlefield soon to give way to a raging conflagration.

Collins & Luke Lieberman artist: Fritz Casas issue: #4 of 5 release date: April, 2015 cover: B variant commentary: In covers where Red Sonja appears without a weapon in hand, she appears in a more feminine light, as is the case in this cover by Geovani to the penultimate issue of the Vulture's Circle series.
