  • title: Red Sonja (2019)
  • publisher: Dynamite
  • cover artist: Collette Turner
  • writer: Mark Russell
  • artist: Mirko Colak
  • issue: #07 of 28
  • cover: D variant

  • commentary: Collete Turner is a freelance artist who has drawn for DC, Marvel and other comic lines. In her only published contribution to Red Sonja, our heroine features manga-esque eyes and air-brushed blood-spatter. The bottom half of the scale-mail armor has been replaced with leather and a metallic belt buckle in the shape of the skull, an adornment which is original to Ms. Turner.

  • title: Red Sonja (2019)
  • publisher: Dynamite
  • cover artist: Katie O'Meara
  • writer: Mark Russell
  • artist: Mirko Colak
  • issue: #08 of 28
  • cover: D variant
  • release date: September, 2019
  • commentary: Katie O'Meara has more than a passing interest in the Dungeons and Dragons Role Playing Game and her art reflects it. In this cover, Red Sonja tromps through a blizzard, armed only with a staff, to confront a horde of wraith-like figures.

  • title: Red Sonja (2019)
  • publisher: Dynamite
  • cover artist: Sanya Anwar
  • writer: Mark Russell
  • artist: Mirko Colak
  • issue: #13 of 28
  • cover: F variant
  • release date: February, 2020
  • commentary: Sanya Anwar is a freelance artist and creator of 1001, a graphic adaptation reimagining the life of Scherezade: the cunning heroine of the original tale "One Thousand and One Arabian Nights." In her Red Sonja cover, a stylized heroine bearing a goblet of wine and a sword appears to shock the on-looker in the foreground, though her armor covers decidedly more of her body than is usually the case.

15

  • title: Swords of Sorrow (2015)
  • publisher: Dynamite
  • cover artist: Kate Leth
  • writer: Gail Simone
  • artist: Sergio Fernandez Davila

  • commentary: Kate Leth has written and drawn for a variety of comics including Adventure Time, Edward Scissorhands and Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!. She has one published cover featuring Red Sonja that was an exclusive to the Swords and Sorcery series. The cover features Red Sonja, Vampirella & Dejah Thoris in what is surely the least revealing costumes of all time for any of the three ordinarily scantily-clad heroines.

16

  • title: Red Sonja and Vampirella meet Betty and Veronica (2019)
  • publisher: Dynamite
  • cover artist: Jessica Garvey
  • writer: Amy Chu
  • artist: Maria Sanapo

  • cover: Speeding Bullet Retailer Incentive Variant
  • release date: May, 2019
  • commentary: Jessica Garvey created this exclusive cover, an exclusive to Speeding Bullet Comics, for the first issue of Red Sonja and Vampirella meet Betty and Veronica. As is the case for many of the variants to this cross-over series, it downplays the strangeness of Red Sonja and Vampirella at Riverdale High.

  • cover artist: Sabine Rich
  • writers: Mark Russell & Bryce Ingman
  • artist: Craig Rousseau
  • issue: #1 of 5
