  • commentary: In what appears to be a deeply misguided attempt to address the interests of the collecting community, this variant was only available in a blind bag containing two variants randomly selected from a set of twelve possible covers. Red Sonja does not appear in the interior of this book. Of the several variant artworks, blind or otherwise, Red Sonja only appears in this one. We waited for the book to appear on the secondary market where the blind bag was already opened to purchase this variant. There was also a virgin version of the same art, available only as a random selection in a blind bag.

  • commentary: Despite the claim in the previous entry, upon closer inspection it appears that the figure on the left is Red Sonja. The metal texture of the armor is not apparent nor does her hair appear red in this image, but the shoulder armor, gloves and boots are typical of Red Sonja. Despite the uncertainty, we include it in this gallery. This cover variant was also only available in a blind bag. To our knowledge, this is the first Red Sonja cover by Emanuele Ercolani.

  • commentary: As we close out this gallery on 2025, we end with a reminder of the problems with distribution of Red Sonja books that plagued this year. Some of the retailer incentive variants for this issue, like the one above, were released on June 4, 2025. However, the regular A, B and C variants included in this gallery were not released until June 18, 2025. Let's hope these distribution problems end with 2025 and the only problem we have to deal with in the new year is the intentional one of blind bag packaging.
