Just as a sidenote, it might be worth mentioning, that stairs are not the only means of getting nowhere. Doors also go nowhere. In the Old City, the doors to nowhere are wide open and welcoming. Of course, reaching the doors, without the aid of stairs is difficult.

Poison Pie wasn't in the mood for an exhaustive study of stairs leading nowhere in the Old City. If you want to see the rest of them, you will have to come to Knoxville, Tennessee and walk around for yourself. You don't need any more specific directions than that. They are everywhere.

To end our day, we got in my pick-up and drove north 20 odd miles to the State Park in Norris, Tennessee, where what might be our most favorite stairway leading nowhere resides.
