The second lady Eugenia met in the forest was gathering greens. "Who are you?" the lady asked. Before Eugenia could answer, the woman said, "You must be very foolish to wander about the forest by yourself. Don't you know it's dangerous? There's creatures and the mad red horseman and who knows what all else lurking about." The lady shook her head contemptuously and hurried on her way.
