Forthcoming Release:   An interesting little news snippet appeared on the Disk Union website on July 7, 2020: here. Apparently they are planning a release of previously unreleased material to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lost Aarraaf. It will be made of material from the vaults of Haino and the drummer, Takahashi, but Disk Union are also asking for tapes from anyone who might have recorded them between 1970 and 1974. No release date is mentioned, as yet.

New Release:   The Chinese label, Old Heaven Books, has released a live album by Keiji Haino. The title is The Meaning of Blackness and it features Haino on guitar, vocals and electronics from 2016. The digital download is available on bandcamp. This same page says that the album was officially released on December 5, 2019 but the digital release just appeared today. There has been no sign of the compact disc or vinyl versions. The distribution is undoubtedly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. If anyone discovers an online retailer with either the cd or vinyl, please email me and I will post it here. In the meantime, we updated the solo live page of the discography.
